The role of women and how I met Greta Gerwig
Hi bloggers!
Since last year I've decided to start reading and listening more to female artists and within that, to see more films created and starred by them; and because of that is how I met Greta Gerwig. Despite the fact that my favourite film director is Denis Villeneuve, the themes that both directors touch on, are about different dynamics that affect women in general and I like the way they manage to express it into films, sometimes harsh, but always in a real way. In one hand, we have a film such as "Lady Bird" or "Frances Ha" (starring by Greta), where the two protagonists are in a permanent dispute between being accepted in places that doesn't fully understand them, but eventually, they realize that they were only resisting change, wich is part of everyone's life.
In the other hand, Villeneuve's films have a background that shakes empathy and invites us to question human emotions; for example, one of its famous films is "Incendies", that is also starring by a woman, Nawal, shows her as a broken being, that as the film progresses, we can understand the reason for her behavior and how many times, just because "we are women", in critical political or social situations, we are judged and punihed with tenacity. (Another awesome thing about this film in particular: right from the start, with a shocking image, Radiohead sound softly in the background <3)
Hoping that you have enjoyed this post (and PLEASE see any of this movies), I say goodbye until next week jjj. See you!

you look a-like Saoirse ronan from Lady Bird, it's impressive.
